Job Title: Recycling Room Operator – 2nd Shift
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Shift: 2nd Shift – 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Recycling Room Operator to join our team in the Recycling Center Division. This role is critical in driving production efficiency by meeting daily production goals while adhering to strict quality and safety standards for battery processing and recycling.
The successful candidate will be cross-trained to operate all stations within the recycling room. Full PPE (including a hazmat suit and respirator) will be provided after passing required medical evaluations. This position requires working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment with exposure to dust and physical demands.
Responsibilities:
Maintain punctual and dependable attendance.
Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE (hazmat suit, respirator, steel-toe boots, gloves, etc.).
Operate equipment such as bandsaws and shredders to process battery materials.
Sort and handle shredded materials according to SOPs.
Assist in team lifts (up to 137 lbs) and perform individual lifts (up to 50 lbs).
Adhere to company policies, OSHA/EPA guidelines, and production standards.
Support team collaboration and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Ability to pass a medical evaluation, respirator fit test, and background/drug screening.
Prior knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations (preferred but not required).
Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment with dust exposure.
Physical Requirements:
Constant standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting.
Ability to lift 50 lbs independently and 137 lbs with team/equipment.
Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Work Environment:
PPE Required: Steel-toe boots, high-visibility vest, safety glasses, gloves, full hazmat suit, and respirator (PAPR).
Fast-paced, physically demanding role in an industrial setting.
