The role is within Wealth Management in the Alternative Investments Business supporting products such as hedge funds, digital assets, private equity, private credit and private real estate. Morgan Stanley has one of the largest alternative investments platforms in the industry and it is one of the fastest growing segments of the firm. The AI Client Solutions Capital Activity Team is responsible for processing alternative investments fund activity in client accounts. This role will analyze and process fund activity information that is delivered to the firm from hundreds of third-party asset managers and fund administrators. The information provided by the funds is delivered in various formats and must be interpreted to ensure that is processed correctly in client accounts. Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree, 5+ years of relevant finance industry experience, prior operational and/or alternative investments experience is a plus, supervisory experience strongly preferred, securities licensing (Series 7 or 99) required, proficiency in Microsoft Office with a particular strength in Microsoft Excel, ability to oversee a team of Associates and Analysts and other individuals to stated organizational objectives, ability to critically assess process for optimization and drive continuous improvement, ensure process consistency and adherence to procedural guidelines, ability to take direction and work independently or in a team, firm understanding of accuracy importance, excellent communication skills, strong reasoning and problem-solving skills, efficient time management, and high organizational skills and attention to detail.
