Job Description

The EHS Leader is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating critical safety and health processes/ programs/ procedures to achieve a zero-injury environment.

EHS Leader Responsibilities:

• Lead site safety and health programs, setting and achieving strong EHS goals.
• Develop strategic plans to support safety culture and environmental performance.
• Coach and mentor teams to build safety leadership and ownership.
• Design and deliver training to improve site-wide EHS capabilities.
• Empower employees to recognize and act on unsafe conditions.
• Lead the site's EHS pillar efforts and ensure alignment with operational excellence initiatives.
• Completion of training and certification plans
• Injury rates and closure of corrective actions
• Progress on EHS pillar objectives
• Environmental compliance and reduction of incidents
• Ensure full adherence to OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Lead investigations and root cause analysis for all safety incidents.
• Manage incident reporting, follow-up actions, and preventative planning.
• Maintain permits and relationships with regulatory agencies.
• Oversee the site energy plan and medical services.

EHS Leader Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in any field related to EH&S, such as industrial hygiene, engineering, science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of prior safety leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of TPM (or similar) Plant Operations System is preferred.
• Ability to effectively engage primary employees in both union or non-union environment is critical.
