As a member of our (daytime) Event Security Team, you will focus on pre-event set-up, access control, asset protection, and ensuring a secure environment for the tour, staff, and vendors. You will also have the opportunity to work security on show nights, if interested. This is a seasonal, part-time, event-based position that will begin April/May 2025 and end September/October 2025. Essential duties include assisting in setting up security checkpoints, including barricades, metal detectors, and bag check stations; ensuring all security equipment is functioning properly; checking credentials and preventing unauthorized individuals from accessing restricted zones before the event; identifying and addressing any suspicious behavior in and around the venue; reporting safety hazards such as unsecured fencing, tripping hazards, or fire risks before the event begins; and other duties as requested. Qualifications include a New York State Security Guard License, a high school diploma or GED, and 1-3 years of verifiable experience with customer service and security. Skills required include exceptional hospitality and customer service skills, clear and professional communication, high level of confidentiality, some knowledge of radio communication, ability to make professional and independent decisions, ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment, and tolerance to work under adverse outdoor conditions. Physical demands include ability to stand for long periods, use hands/fingers, talk clearly, hear guests and team members, walk, lift and carry 50+ lbs, and occasional sitting. The position may be exposed to adverse conditions such as loud noises and pyrotechnics.
