Responsibilities

The Lathe Machinist position is part of the Machine Department Team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Some examples of these responsibilities are listed below (but are not limited to the following):

• Perform set up on manual lathes and CNC lathes
• Verifies conformance of finished work piece(s) to specifications using various measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints to ensure accurate production
• Loads and unloads parts, operating multiple machines as needed
• Stays on task and ensures current day scheduled work is completed on time
• Maintains an organized, safe, and clean work area
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Completion of a technical program in machining preferred
• Three to Five years of manual machining experience on a lathe
• Three years’ experience setting up manual machines
• Strong problem solving and math skills
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Experience in reading blueprints.

Experience with ProtoTRAK preferred but not required.
