Job Description

The Membership Growth Consultant (MGC) is an outside healthcare sales representative responsible for generating sales leads and membership by nurturing productive relationships with senior citizens, key local community partners, and senior-focused businesses to enroll new patients to ChenMed. The role involves arranging, designing, and orchestrating sales events, developing techniques to keep senior participation and satisfaction high, and driving referral sales from satisfied patients. Duties include nurturing direct-to-seniors and business-to-business partnerships, meeting seniors in various community settings to share ChenMed's value proposition, planning and executing local community events, cultivating relationships with health plan agents, insurance agents, social workers, senior housing managers, and other community providers, scheduling sales meetings, managing vendors for event planning, using marketing and sales tools including CRM (SalesForce), creating penetration plans, recovering dormant customers, educating potential patients, developing distribution channels, partnering with sales leadership, building trusting relationships with brokers and partners, engaging with new patients beyond their first appointment, and addressing customer complaints. The role requires instilling trust, being results-driven, action-oriented, effective in communication, resilient, skilled in networking, customer-focused, and persuasive. Knowledge and skills required include high business acumen, organizational skills, negotiation and closing skills, proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, creativity, and the ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationwide up to 75%. Education and experience criteria include a high school diploma or GED (bachelor's preferred), minimum 2 years of successful sales experience, business-to-business experience preferred, telesales experience, and a valid driver's license.
