Job Title: Medical Editor .

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Editor to join our team. The Medical Editor will play a crucial role in reviewing and refining printed and interactive content for live experiences primarily tailored for HCPs. The ideal candidate will have a strong science background and experience of editing in an agency environment. They need a strong understanding of the MLR submission process and regulatory guidelines.

Typical Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Content Review and Editing:
  • Review and edit a variety of materials, including brochures, pamphlets, digital presentations, 3D designs, and interactive content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to established guidelines (such as AMA).
  • Verify the scientific accuracy of the content, ensuring alignment with the latest clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices.
  • Correct grammatical errors, punctuation, spelling, and style issues
• Collaboration with Creative Teams:
  • Work closely with the creative and design teams to ensure that the content is effectively integrated into experiential displays and interactive environments.
  • Collaborate with account managers and project teams to understand client objectives and tailor content to meet specific needs.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct thorough quality checks on all materials before final approval and delivery, ensuring compliance with FDA and other global standards.
  • Maintain and update content style guides, ensuring consistency across all materials.
• Regulatory and Compliance Oversight:
  • Familiarize yourself with and apply relevant regulatory guidelines (such as FDA regulations) in the review process of promotional and educational materials.
  • Assist in preparing submissions for review by regulatory bodies when necessary.
• Feedback and Communication:
  • Provide constructive feedback to content creators and offer suggestions for improvement to enhance clarity and effectiveness.
  • Liaise with clients to discuss content revisions, address queries, and ensure satisfaction with the final materials.
• Contribute to ideation with a scientific lens
  • Offer an understanding of science to help creative colleagues develop appropriate solutions for our clients
  • Participate in training sessions for the broader team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical editing or medical writing, preferably within a pharmaceutical advertising or experiential agency setting.
• Strong understanding of clinical research, drug development processes, and pharmaceutical regulations.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with excellent proofreading, editing, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and familiar with various content management systems and tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
