About the Role

As a Middle School Math and Science Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work with our motivated students to continue to build upon the knowledge foundation laid in the elementary years and delve deeper into each subject. Our middle school program encourages students to think critically, ask questions, learn from mistakes, and discover their individual passions for the future. We look for teachers who are confident and caring leaders in the classroom, able to guide our students through the curriculum with high expectations and a fun learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote positive development of social and emotional competencies in students.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to curriculum guidelines.
• Assess and evaluate student performance and progress regularly.
• Collaborate with other faculty and staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
• Maintain a well-organized and engaging classroom environment.
• Integrate technology into the classroom to enhance learning experiences.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in education, math, science, or a related field.
• Teaching certification in the relevant subject area is preferred.
• Prior teaching experience, particularly at the middle school level, is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass both state and federal background checks.
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to student development.
