"MedCadre Inc is a Joint Commission Certified". Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled OB Tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests and procedures, providing accurate results crucial for patient diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities: Support physicians and nurses during obstetric procedures, including C-sections and vaginal deliveries. Set up sterile fields, surgical instruments, and equipment for labor, delivery, and post-partum care. Provide comfort and non-clinical assistance to patients before, during, and after delivery. Label and transport lab specimens (e.g., placenta, cord blood) according to protocols. Sanitize delivery areas. Qualifications: Minimum educational qualification required. Formal training or certification from an accredited program is preferred or required by many facilities. Must hold a current BLS certification, typically from the American Heart Association. Previous experience as a surgical tech, OB tech, or in a maternity unit is often preferred. Ability to work well under pressure, follow sterile techniques, and support a collaborative healthcare environment. Required: Minimum 1 year experience - required. Active BLS - required.
