As a Purcell Over-the-Road Truck Driver , your mission is to safely transport and facilitate the delivery and pickup of tires to/from our local customers and retread plants in a timely, and accurate fashion.

The Schedule:

•Monday - Friday OTR

•Home Every Weekend

•Predictable and Consistent Runs

•Dedicated Reliable Regional Route

•Typically 2,000 - 2,500 Mileage Per Week

•Approximately 8-10 Stops Per Week

The Job:

•Pickup/Delivery of tire inventory to/from local area customers

•Load/unload or assist with loading/unloading of orders as needed

•Operate equipment to sort, stack, & identify tires as needed

•Assure safe and accurate loads and deliveries

•Adhere to DOT pre/post trip inspection requirements

•Maintain weigh station schedule and document per state regulations

•Maintain driver log according to DOT and FMCSA regulations

•Abide by all company, DOT, FMCSA, and state laws, rules, and regulations

•Follow transport schedule and directions given

•Protect company assets (inventory, equip & real estate)

•Other essential and non-essential duties, as assigned by management

DRUG TESTING

Purcell Tire tests for the presence of THC in all drug screenings for this position, due to the safety-sensitive nature of the job and the potential for injury or death when a tire is installed improperly, or a safety-related mechanical issue is not properly conveyed to a customer. It is a bona fide occupational qualification for service technicians to be unimpaired, so the Company will continue testing for THC and other drugs under the safety-sensitive exceptions allowed by your state.
