Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney – Recent Need | Nashville, TN
A prominent litigation-focused law firm in Nashville, TN is seeking a Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney with 16 years of experience to lead high-stakes business disputes. This recent opening presents a compelling opportunity to represent sophisticated corporate clients in complex commercial matters from inception through appeal.
This role is ideal for a senior litigator ready to take ownership of trial strategy, manage teams, and maintain client relationships at a high level.
The law firm specializes in healthcare litigation. Health Care Related Administrative Law / Investigations, Birth Trauma Litigation, General Commercial Litigation, Appellate, General Healthcare Matters, Multi-District Litigation, Peer Review, Personal Injury, Premises Liability, and Healthcare Related Professional Negligence. The firm is located in Nashville, Tennessee.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all phases of complex commercial litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, trial, and appeals
• Draft complaints, briefs, motions, and settlement agreements with minimal supervision
• Conduct and defend depositions, including those of experts and corporate representatives
• Strategically manage multi-jurisdictional matters and collaborate with internal and external counsel
• Supervise e-discovery processes and lead document review initiatives
• Represent clients in mediations, hearings, and court proceedings
• Mentor junior attorneys and coordinate litigation support efforts
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 16 years of commercial litigation experience
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active Tennessee Bar license
• Demonstrated success in trial work, settlements, and appellate advocacy
• Strong team leadership and case management capabilities
Preferred Certifications:
• Membership in the Nashville Bar Association or ABA’s Litigation Section (preferred)
Skills:
• Deep knowledge of Tennessee and federal rules of civil procedure and evidence
• Experience with e-discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, Concordance)
• Advanced litigation strategy, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities
• Exceptional courtroom presence and confidence
