Key Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end case management of personal injury defense matters, including motion practice, depositions, and trial prep
• Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings
• Develop and execute litigation strategies in coordination with co-counsel and support teams
• Supervise junior attorneys and legal support staff, offering strategic and procedural guidance
• Evaluate medical records and consult with experts on liability and damages
• Draft pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, motions, and settlement agreements
• Maintain strong communication with clients, adjusters, and third-party vendors
Qualifications:
• At least 13 years of personal injury defense litigation experience
• Licensed to practice law in New York State (NY Bar required)
• Proven success in high-stakes litigation, including favorable trial outcomes
• Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience supervising and mentoring litigation teams
Skills:
• Advanced understanding of New York State civil litigation procedure
• Competency with litigation tech tools including e-discovery platforms
• Exceptional courtroom demeanor and negotiation ability
• Strong organizational, leadership, and client-facing skills
