Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Sr. Scheduling Associate to join our Sleep Medicine Team! This role will be located at our Oakview location in Omaha, NE. The Sr. Scheduling Associate will be responsible for providing complex clerical support relating to scheduling of various services and/or surgical procedures. Duties include building surgery cases in OpTime for the operating rooms and other procedural areas as necessary, assisting patients, staff and physicians following established scheduling standards and procedures. Scheduling involves coordination of the patient's clinic appointment, procedural and/or diagnostic services, equipment and staff needed for case, to support health care providers in providing patient care services and unit operational activities. Provide administrative support as necessary to all team members in the surgeons clinic, operating room and procedural areas, as assigned. Facilitate internal and external referrals as required. Required qualifications include high school education or equivalent, minimum of three years post-secondary education with coursework in business, medical assistant program or nursing assistant program OR equivalent combination of education/experience in customer service or medical scheduling related capacity. Successful completion of One Chart/OpTime training upon completion of unit orientation is required. Multi-tasking, problem solving, strong written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of medical terminology, analytical, prioritizing and organizational skills, ability to work proactively and provide high level of customer service are required. Preferred qualifications include experience in healthcare environment with scheduling or registration systems, clinical background in assigned area, associates degree in business, healthcare or related field, Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant certification, experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience with electronic health records, Epic.
