Hammer Media is the digital media company that represents Caleb Hammer and his YouTube Channels. We’ve also launched DollarWise, a financial health platform built to extend our impact beyond content. DollarWise is a top-selling budgeting app on the App Store with over 200,000 downloads, gives users personalized tools and resources to improve their money habits and take control of their financial future.

Amassing over 2 million subscribers and over 2 billion views in 2 years, our hit show Financial Audit is one of the fastest growing channels on the internet. Our platform, DollarWise leverages the insights and lessons from the show to provide practical tools and resources that empower people to build better financial habits.

Together, the Hammer Media brand and DollarWise platform are creating a powerful ecosystem for financial literacy, accountability, and long-term growth. 

This role is based in our Austin, TX office and requires you to come in 5 days a week. 

About the Role

As we scale our content, team, and technology, we’re looking for a Product Designer to lead the charge in crafting intuitive, engaging, and on-brand experiences across various digital touchpoints including our website, community platform, e-commerce offerings, and beyond. As the only full-time designer at this early-stage of our company, you will be responsible for the complete user experience as well as the look and feel of our products.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the UX/UI strategy and execution for all digital experiences, from concept to launch
• Develop mood boards and help guide the visual design of features. Translate brand vision into cohesive, user-centered designs for web, mobile, and interactive content
• Conduct competitive research and deconstructs
• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product manager and engineers
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to define features, work through technical constraints, iterate on designs, and to ensure seamless handoff and implementation of designs
• Apply expertise in design principles, user psychology, and technology trends to inform critical decisions for platform-wide consistency
• Help define the UX standards and patterns that unify the ecosystem, illustrating the connection between design elements across users and platforms
• Act as a champion of the user—identifying pain points, gathering feedback, and evolving the product experience over time

Who You Are: 

• 5+ years experience in mobile and product design in consumer-focused companies
• A strong design portfolio that demonstrates your ability to craft interfaces that are both functional and beautiful
• Proficient in Figma, ClickUp, Accessibility, Typography, Color Theory, Interaction Design, and Responsive Design

The annual salary range for this position is: $85,000 - $110,000
